...Shepherding involves protection, tending to needs, strengthening the weak, encouragement, feeding the flock, making provision, shielding, refreshing, restoring, leading by example to move people on in their pursuit of holiness, comforting, guiding (Psalms 78: 52; 23).
Our pastoral care team aims to serve our attending congregation, and include those people who no longer able to attend services due to ill heath, infirmity or for other reasons, as fully as possible in the life of the Church and congregation.
Assisted by our close relationship with Rosslyn Chapel Trust and their team, we aim to provide pastoral care and support to our great numbers of visitors, as and where it is requested or required.
"The Mustard Seed" - a small space on Roslin High Street offers us a secular space for local outreach and pastoral care. It is used for meetings and small social activities both by the congregation and by local Roslin community groups. We have good links with local residents who are not Church goers as well as our friends at Roslin Parish Kirk, and come together for services and events throughout the year, providing a strong local Christian presence.
The first point of contact for any pastoral care needs should be through the Rev Gill Hitchen
